 Milana Aleksandrovna Vayntrub (American actress and comedian, as well as activist) is a comedian. Born in the Soviet Union to Jewish parents She began her career as a child actress just after emigrating to United States. The appearances she made as Lily Adams in AT&T TV commercials between 2013 and 2016 - and since 2020 - made her famous. Her commercial appearances were not her only activity she appeared in. She also appeared on the Yahoo! Screen science fiction comedy Other Space (2015). Also, she was regular on the NBC drama This Is Us (2016–2017). Vayntrub was also part of the cast as Squirrelgirl in Marvel Rising in 2018 following her role in the pilot TV series for New Warriors. Vayntrub was Jewish and was born in Tashkent in the Uzbek Soviet Socialist Republic. Her parents and her left antisemitism at just two years old. They moved to the U.S. with their children. At the age of five she started appearing in Mattel Barbie commercials. This was partly due to financial struggles in her family. Vayntrub briefly studied at Beverly Hills High School. In her sophomore year she quit and obtained an GED. She continued to get an undergraduate degree in Arts, Communication from University of California San Diego. She was a member of the Upright Citizens Brigade, and was a student of improv comedy.
